Blood Withdraw Shots help!!?

I went over to this lab building today because I was given a paper by my doctor to get bloodwork done because I might have irritable bowel syndrome. Anyways, the doctor said I would only need 6 vials of blood withdrawn. I almost ped out after. I am also 16 year old Male. So, my question is... Is 6 vials of blood to much for bloodwork?
