What points could you give to the missus for emigating to the usa?

Its a very big decision for any Mother to make, leaving a child and she will be struggling with it. In our case it was our son moving to Newzealand.I think she cried for 3 nights.I have spent a fair long time in USA,and can honestly say the people were great. My friend has an English pub in Florida,(that's a big Attraction to me ) and we like the weather,Give her time and i think she will melt a little. DO make sure you have funds to cover you for a good while,as settling in can be expensive.Just now property prices are down,like here in UK, so it may be a good time to try your luck.Im 79 now so im staying.
