Help! MIL rant... Is Elmo Live not for toddlers?!?

Ugh. Where to start. I am 30wks pregnant with #2 and #1 is 16months old. Yesterday it was snowing alot, but there was a craft show i've been wanting to go to for days! My husband, baby and I went. Of course we bundled her up really well and the show was only 3 blocks away, we still drove! There were lots of other babies there with their mommies no daddys. Anyway. MIL calls afterwords and asks me why Im taking her grandbaby out in this weather? Thats just a little rude to me. And then she tells me she bought something(something I dont need! what else?). And then this morning she called to ask for my husbands shoe size because she doesnt know what else to get him for x-mas, and then she tells me about the Elmo Live doll- that it wouldnt be age appropriate for our baby and thats why she didnt get it. (this is actually another story) but to sum it up- my mom is getting our 16 month old soon to be 17m the Elmo Live for christmas- because we played with it and I thought she would really enjoy it. So, yeah. The MIL is making me feel like crap, like Im a bad mom for taking our baby out in the weather and letting her play with a toy that she "will break" anyway. ugh. I may be pregnant and irritated, or is she just stepping out of bounds?
