Why do some people believe we have to wait for justice to be served in the afterlife?

Especially if someone does something really gruesome (like Hitler, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, etc.) some people like to use the excuse that the death penalty is wrong and that they will receive punishment in the afterlife. But why should we wait for the afterlife to give them punishment? What if their punishment is not the kind of punishment you think they deserve? Some people try to say that God would punish them, but who is to say that God would give them a just punishment?

Do not stay up all night for tests. You're brain absolutely needs ~7 hrs to absorb all of the studying you've done during the previous day of the test. If you're working on a project, I would say the same thing, but since those 7 hrs are probably crucial to getting your project done, then do it in doses. Work for 3 hrs, take a 45 min nap, work another 3 hrs, etc. Don't take no doze, it'll make you feel like you're on crack and it'll make you sick to your stomach. Drink coffee, coffee is also great for stimulating your memory during a test. So if it is a test, skip the coffee tonight, do some studying tonight, get a lot of sleep if possible, drink a couple cups of coffee tomorrow morning for the test. When you miss out on sleep, you're brain can't take data from your 'working memory' (information you've just read/studied about) and put it into your long term memory, which is where it needs to be in order to recall it for a test.

i was on a vacation with my girlfriend and her family.. ok so im real close to all of them.. so her moms brother came with us hes about 40 something years old.. we was fine for the past few days then the last day we was there my girlfriend got into an arguement.. and we pulled over at a gas station because we was all in different cars.. and i was talking to my girlfriend and he out of no where says "what did you say ************" and i havent said anything to him. and he was drinkin also.. so he gets in my face for about 10 seconds then hits me just a reminder.. im 18 years old and hes 40 something.. so i didnt know what to do.. either to hit him back or let it go.. because hes drunk.. so now i havent this really bad guilt that i should have hit him and makes me look like a .. someone please help me with this situation and be serious.. and tell me what you really think.. thanks everyone god bless..
